What are the major types of Law?

Law practitioners are one among the professionals who hold high responsibility towards the behavior of the society. Lawyers- the legal representatives of Law of a nation are those who take the nation to the world, they tell the world that their nation is safer place to live than rest of the world. But can such safe nation be achieved easily? If it is difficult, what makes it so difficult? Being a developed nation, having better infrastructure than many nations on earth, why is England still being considered as a nation with crime rate?

If safety of a nation can be achieved by working or acting in a particular way, like what we do for fetching results in a college or school, it is possible. But In academic targets, the people or students involved are prepared to behave in a particular manner, also they work on a single platform which makes result oriented performance possible. But in case of Law or legal security of a nation, the people involved belong to various platforms, various cultures, various ethnic groups, various ages and tendencies. It is almost impossible to bring everyone on one line. So the best, Law can do is to streamline the activities or behavioral pattern based upon generalities rather than specific and confined.

While making any law the committee of group of people involved will consider various factors. The culture of the society, the ancient believes, previous judgments, changing trends, future projections etc., will have influence in making a law. England being the mother of Common law, London lawyers are believed to have inherent in them, how to upkeep the safety situation. Day to day changes in the society should be continuously monitored and analyzed to have a check on any deviation from the set standards by Law.

As already said, England is believed to be the mother of common law. London lawyers in ancient time have derived laws from the judgments given in various cases. As the population expanded and the ways and standards kept on changing from time to time, the number of cases brought to courts also increased, resulting in the formulation of civil law and criminal law etc. there are various types of laws based on different areas, but broadly, law has three branches- Civil, Criminal and Administrative law.

Civil Law: Unlike the common law which is derived from the judgentments of the past cases, civil law or the Roman law is formulated by a civil authority to guide the people in the society to behave in a systematic manner. Civil law is not based on a specific case or situation; it is for the whole society to following general. The cases which fall under Civil law branch are related to disputes among people on land ownership, property disputes, child custody, divorce etc., Civil law has in its preview – the consumer law, Entertainment law, Employment law, business law, animal law, tax law etc.

Criminal Law:As the name suggest, this branch of law deals with the criminal offences. The law plays a major role in containing the criminal activities by penalizing, punishing the convicts. Criminal law only understands that “Crime is an act that is morally wrong” and will not spare anyone who breaks Criminal law is also know as ‘Penal law’ as it deals mostly with crimes and their punishments. The stronger the execution of criminal law in a country, the safer it will be from future crimes. The law curtails the criminals from repeating the crime by making its penalties tough. London Lawyers known to be versed in Criminal law given-up to the crime rate in the city.

Administrative Law:This branch of Law governs the activities of the government administrative agencies. The law is a branch of Public law also known as regulatory law. Administrative law dose not deal with private individuals, corporations or non-government entities.
